Product Details

I have taken inspiration for this one of a kind statement paper ring from the colours and shapes found in large rock formations and recycled one natural product to represent another in a piece of wearable art. Nobody will ever guess.

Firstly I glue sheets of everyday newspaper together, only a few at a time, leaving them to dry before adding more, until I have a solid block. I then shape it using crafting knives, revealing the unique colourful inks printed on the paper. I then varnish it highlighting the colours and making it strong and durable. Here I have inserted a silver ring shank, smoothing the edges to the contours of the ring and added a small white acrylic detail.

N.B. – Care – while my paper jewellery is hard wearing please try not immerse in water and leave to dry naturally if it does become wet.

Ring shank size: P

Ring dimensions: 3cm wide, 4.5cm top to bottom, 1cm thick, 2cm tall above finger

Weight: 13 gm
Dimensions: 2 × 3 × 1 cm
Care Instructions:

The best way to clean your extra special jewellery and keep it looking it’s best for longer, is to regularly rub the silver over with a silver cloth. The paper has been sealed with a hard wearing clear lacquer , but please remove your jewellery before swimming/ bathing etc. It it does get wet just leave it to dry naturally, do not place it near a heat source to speed up the process.

Nature’s Way is a collection of jewellery designed for people who find joy in colour, texture and beautiful things. Each piece is lovingly handmade, totally unique and inspired by my fascination of nature in all its minute detail. I combine beautiful materials to create jewellery that really stands out and will get you noticed.
The design process is as organic as the inspiration. Starting with an idea sparked by what I have seen around me, on woodland walks and at the seaside, each design then blossoms as the materials combine and show me the way. I use tiny glass beads like an artist uses a paint pallet, building up the final picture as I sew each one on individually. This method of working ensures each piece is one of a kind.
