Story:

Our Cardigan design is inspired by traditional Welsh costume once worn by the rural women in Wales. Inspirations are taken from photographs and school memories of dressing up for St David’s day and the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
Designed and sampled on a hand operated weaving loom in Cardiff and woven at a local micro mill in Bristol. The finished fabric is then washed and sent back to Cardiff to be made into products by hand.
Woolly Mammoth is working towards a zero-waste business model – using resources carefully and making as minimal impact on the environment as possible. Our products are designed to size to limit the amount of waste material produced, any small offcuts are repurposed into new projects.
By using natural wool, we are ensuring the fibres we weave with are biodegradable and renewable. Wool is naturally hygienic and requires minimal chemicals to clean, so it is a perfect match for both your home and the environment! The durable qualities of this natural fibre can give you confidence that this woolly product is built to last.
