Kokkino is run by Melanie Hamlet who has worked as a jewellery designer and maker since graduating from the Birmingham School of Jewellery in 1997. Now based the heart of England, Melanie’s designs incorporate the beautiful colours of vitreous enamels and gemstones, and precious metals.
Over her career as a jewellery designer Melanie has built a reputation for creating beautiful pieces of jewellery with a modern twist, considered design and exquisite craftsmanship. Her work has been shown in many prestigious exhibitions worldwide and she sells through select galleries and jewellers.
The pieces are textured and formed using traditional and modern techniques, making them incredibly tactile and often incorporating interchangeable elements for extra versatility as well as that special pop of colour.
