I am a Bristol based textile designer and maker. I explore colour and form in my work through my constructed and printed textiles, whilst using texture to bring another dimension to my unique designs.
My formative working years were spent in the Belgian textile industry, learning from generations of Flemish weavers. After travelling extensively my influences are many, but my love of simplicity and geometric forms is clearly rooted in Northern European modernism and Japanese minimalism, and their traditional crafts.
Sustainability remains paramount in my practice, I utilise dead stock yarns from UK textile factories. My cushions are backed with natural linen and filled with duck feather pads, made by a local company in Somerset.
I hand tuft my fabrics in my Bristol studio, and make these into cushions, pouffes, and hanging art pieces. I sell these through my website, and craft fairs.
