Geometric jewellery incorporating precious metals, colourful gemstones and bright perspex in joyful and unexpected combinations.
Working principally in silver Barbara uses traditional techniques to create elegant contemporary pieces with subtle references to midcentury shapes and form. Her influences are varied but geometry, colour and contrast play an important part in her creative process; squares juxtaposed with circles, gold with silver, burnished and matt, harmonising and clashing colours. The distinctive range of square rings creates endless possibilities and Barbara particularly enjoys working with clients to develop their own unique set of stacking rings.
Barbara originally studied Maths. But it was a course to make a Silver Ring that really fired her creativity and she completed her Diploma in Jewellery Design and Techniques in 2010. She now works from a studio in London
