Internships & Volunteering
Handmade in Britain exists to support, promote and celebrate designer-makers who create their work in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We increase accessibility and visibility, create market opportunities and maintain high standards in the craft sector whilst providing a comprehensive support programme towards a bright future for British craft and design. Our work provides a platform for design and craft talent through both our own events and collaborations with other organisations, alongside a mentoring programme and membership scheme.
About our Internships:
Interns at Handmade in Britain are highly valued for the skills and energy they bring to our work. We hope to provide our interns with an insight into the daily internal workings of a small but dynamic creative events company.
Your role as an intern will help make a great contribution to the work of Handmade in Britain. You will be responsible for achieving specific work objectives, agreed with you, in a set length of time. As you are recruited to support or complete particular objectives, you will have a real responsibility and place in the team, bringing some of your skills and experience to the role; you will also have the chance to develop workplace skills.
We are always on the look-out for creative and confident individuals to join our small and busy team. Internships would ideally suit a recent graduate who is looking to gain marketing and events experience working in a busy office environment within the contemporary craft and design sector.
If you share our values and want to gain experience in a successful, dynamic and creative business then we want to hear from you. Please email your CV and cover letter to Sarah Ward at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are always happy to hear from people interested in working with us on our events. Please get in touch if you would like to join us for our upcoming events in 2017.
Contact: Sarah Ward on email@example.com with a CV and brief introduction.
