Membership Handmade in Britain membership is open to practising designer-makers who create their work in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We offer a comprehensive support network to our members, with many practical and financial benefits alongside the support and expertise of our organisation and a strong community ethic.

Designer-maker Support Handmade in Britain offers support to new designer makers through group workshops and one-to-one mentoring, providing invaluable business advice and practical support to guide them into successful careers. We are here to support Designer-makers.

Chelsea 13 We return to Chelsea Old Town Hall for the 7th year this November for Handmade in Britain 13: The Contemporary Craft & Design Fair. We are now accepting applications to exhibit at our Chelsea show from designer-makers working in Britain and creating in all disciplines. This year, we celebrate new talent at Handmade in Britain in our New Graduate Showcase, open to makers who graduated in 2012 or will graduate in 2013. The deadline for all applications is April 12th 2013.

CRAFT A new trade show for contemporary craft and design from Clarion Events in association with Handmade in Britain, CRAFT will be co-located with Top Drawer and Home at Earls Court, London on 12th – 14th January 2014. Applications to exhibit at CRAFT are invited from designer-makers working in the UK and Europe. The deadline for applications is 28th June 2013.
